Dear Friends and Supporters,
Choosing to support Israeli documentary filmmaking is a decision to invest in what we want to preserve here and continue to nurture.
Documentary cinema in Israel is created out of passion, curiosity, and a deep belief in the power of creation to make an impact, even in challenging times. Docaviv is committed to being the home that provides creators with a broad platform, one that celebrates bold, critical, and diverse work.
At a time when the cultural world is boycotting Israel and Israeli creators are being excluded from international stages, our role at Docaviv becomes more vital than ever.
Every donation you make is an investment in Israel's cultural strength and a clear statement that we are not giving up our place on the global cultural map.
Your support enables us to be far more meaningful: to operate throughout the year, to promote Israeli creators both in Israel and around the world, to develop new audiences, and to continue serving as an independent, free, and relevant home for documentary creation.
This is a partnership that allows Docaviv to continue growing, making an impact, and being an integral part of a living, curious, and meaningful culture.
As members of the Friends Association, you will be entitled to enjoy exclusive benefits and Docaviv Festival events:

Designation of Donations
Support from the Friends Circle enables the festival to continue its challenging work, bringing the best documentary films in the world to audiences in Israel, and providing a meaningful platform for Israeli creators and their works.
Donations from Friends Association members will be dedicated to supporting one or more of the following projects:
The Capsule
A unique training and mentoring program for students and recent graduates of film schools in Israel, providing practical tools for integration into the international documentary film industry, connections to key figures, and project development support, within the framework of the Tel Aviv International Documentary Film Festival.
Docu Young
A documentary workshop project for youth, operating since 2013 in boarding schools and youth villages across the country. As part of the workshops, young people create short documentary films with guidance from Israel's finest documentary filmmakers, and present them at a premiere screening during the festival.
A professional laboratory providing consultation, mentorship, and personal guidance with senior international mentors from the fields of production, directing, distribution, and the festival world, for documentary projects in the rough-cut editing stage.
Student Screenings
Dedicated screenings for students in elementary and high schools of documentary films from content worlds relevant to these age groups.
Festival Awards
An option to sponsor one of the festival's awards.
As part of the festival, cash prizes are awarded annually to documentary films in Israeli, international, student, and other competitions, including awards for best film, directing, cinematography, editing, and investigative work. The awards provide creators with financial support and exposure that help advance their artistic path.
