ERAN, a non-profit Israeli Association founded in 1971, is the largest Hotline in Israel with more than 300,000 calls in a year.
For many, finding the right person to talk to about our distress is difficult, someone who will not judge or negate us, someone who can hear us without objectivity, someone who will just listen and help us get through the hard times, say a kind word, encourage us to heal and forgive.
This is what ERAN does.24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
During the Coronavirus crisis in Israel our volunteers and professional staff aid to more than 500,000 callers in distress in Hebrew, English, Arabic, Russian and Amharic. Every day ERAN save 3 life during suicide attempts.
1,600 trained volunteers answer the telephone and internet calls from distressed people, from all walks of life, from all socio-economic strata, all ages, all religions and all sexes. People like you and me; strong people going through tough times, people who need someone to listen to them and provide a different perspective.
