The Aguda was founded in 1975 and is the first official organization for LGBT people in Israel, as well as one of the first human's rights non-profit organizations in Israel. The Aguda is the umbrella organization for LGBT organizations in Israel, and promotes cooperation between the organizations, actively increases positive exposure to the community and promotes equality in legal offices.
The Aguda offers a variety of services to help support LGBT individuals, such as psychosocial treatments, legal representation, help in seeking asylum, and more.
The Aguda houses a report center, grants foundation and proud students fraternity.
